Terms of Service

1. What Eventlycard is

Eventlycard ("we," "us," "the service") is a tool for building and sharing digital invitations — weddings, birthdays, baby showers, and other events — with an RSVP form guests can fill in. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

You need an account to create invitations. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to create an account. Don't create an account on someone else's behalf without their permission.

3. Free and paid invitations

Publishing an invitation is free; a free invitation is publicly viewable by anyone with the link and stays live for a limited number of days, after which it may stop working or be removed. Upgrading an invitation to private (password-protected, with a longer or custom expiry) is a one-time payment processed through Stripe. This payment is for a single invitation's upgrade, not a subscription, and — except where required by law or explicitly stated otherwise at checkout — is non-refundable once the upgrade has been applied.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of whatever you upload or write — names, photos, event details, custom borders, and so on ("your content"). By uploading it, you give us the limited right to store, display, and transmit it as needed to run the service (for example, showing your invitation to your guests, or generating a link-preview card when your link is shared). You're responsible for having the right to use anything you upload — don't upload content you don't own or don't have permission to use, including copyrighted images, someone else's photos without consent, or a purchased design template's assets beyond what its license allows.

You're also responsible for the accuracy of what you tell your own guests — venue, date, time, and so on. We're a tool for publishing that information, not a party to your event.

5. Guest and RSVP data

When your guests RSVP, they give you (the invitation owner) whatever information your RSVP form asks for — typically a name and attendance response. That information belongs to you to use for your event; we store it on your behalf and show it on your dashboard, but we're not responsible for how you use it afterward. If you send invitations via SMS/WhatsApp, you're responsible for having a legitimate reason to contact each recipient and for complying with applicable messaging/anti-spam laws in your and their location.

6. Storage limits

Your account has a storage limit for uploaded images and audio, shown on your library page. You can purchase additional storage as a one-time add-on. We may remove content associated with an expired or deleted invitation to free up space, and won't be liable for content lost this way — keep your own copies of anything important.

7. Templates and the marketplace

You can export the design of one of your invitations as a reusable template and, if you choose, list it publicly for other users to use — free, or for a price you set (subject to whatever limits apply on your account tier). If you sell a template, payment is processed through Stripe and paid to the platform; we do not automatically forward any portion of that payment to you as the template's creator — any payout arrangement is handled separately and directly between you and the platform operator, outside of this automated checkout.

By listing a template publicly, you confirm you have the right to share its design and any included assets, and you grant other users the right to use it as the basis for their own invitation, including modifying names, colors, and content.

8. Third-party services

Parts of the service rely on third parties: Stripe for payments, Twilio for SMS/ WhatsApp delivery, Canva for optional design editing, Google for optional sign-in and maps, and a cloud storage provider for uploaded files. Your use of these integrations is also subject to that provider's own terms. We aren't responsible for outages or issues caused by a third-party provider's service.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Publish content that's illegal, harassing, hateful, or sexually exploitative, especially involving minors
• Impersonate someone else or misrepresent an event as real when it isn't
• Send unsolicited bulk messages or spam via the SMS/WhatsApp features
• Upload malware or attempt to interfere with the service's normal operation
• Circumvent a private invitation's password protection or storage limits

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, remove content, or both, without prior notice in serious cases.

10. No warranty, limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your content will never be lost — back up anything you can't afford to lose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including a missed event, a guest who never received an invitation, or lost content.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above; continued use of the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
